As the real estate industry continues to evolve, driven by the relentless surge of technological advancements, EP&T Global is proud to announce our participation as a keynote sponsor at the upcoming Property Congress, which will be held from 23 to 25 October 2024 at Townsville Entertainment & Convention Centre, Townsville, QLD

The Property Council of Australia’s Property Congress, which has been running for almost 50 years, has firmly established itself as the country’s premier property event. Each year, the Property Congress brings together over 800 established and emerging property leaders for an uplifting and insightful three days filled with discussion, networking, and learning.

Our involvement underscores our commitment to driving innovation and sustainable change in the real estate sector, particularly regarding data visibility and energy efficiency.

At this event, EP&T will play a crucial role in Session Eight on Thursday, a panel discussion exploring how technology is reshaping the real estate landscape. The discussion will revolve around a pressing question: "Is the property industry ready for the next generation of technology?" Without giving too much away, the answer, in part, is yes, primarily when it comes to new builds already incorporating intelligent technologies and energy-efficient designs. However, it’s important to highlight that 90% of properties in Australia are existing buildings. These buildings often lag in technological adoption, and their future depends on upgrades to meet new sustainability and performance standards.

A key focus in the discussion will be sub-metering and how visibility into building performance today can lead to tangible improvements tomorrow. Sub-metering allows for granular energy use monitoring, offering real-time data that helps facilities managers optimise operations, cut energy waste, and increase efficiency. This data-driven approach, powered by platforms like EP&T’s EDGE, provides auditable, accurate, and actionable insights that enable building operators to achieve and maintain sustainability targets.

By equipping the industry with these tools, EP&T Global is helping businesses meet current environmental standards and positioning them to thrive in an increasingly regulated and eco-conscious market. As the real estate sector grapples with updating its existing building stock, technology like sub-metering and data visibility offers a clear path forward.

We look forward to engaging with industry leaders at the event and sharing how our EDGE platform is helping real estate operators tackle today's and tomorrow's critical challenges.
