The integration of over 20,000 hotel rooms with the EDGE platform is not just a number; it represents a significant impact on the industry's carbon footprint. According to the ITP - Hotel Global Decarbonisation Report, the global hotel industry needs to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per room per year by 66% from 2010 levels by 2030, and 90% by 2050. Savings opportunities identified by the EDGE platform directly contribute to achieving these ambitious targets by enabling energy efficiency and measuring the adoption of renewable energy sources.

" As a fund manager, the clarity provided by EP&T's EDGE platform on utility consumption is invaluable. It not only enhances our decision-making but also showcases our commitment to transparency and sustainability in real estate investment."

– Gene Osborne, Asset Manager – Hotels, Salter Brothers

The journey towards sustainability in the hospitality industry requires collaboration at all levels. As noted by the UNFCC and the CBRE reports, the urgency for the hospitality and leisure establishments to lower their carbon footprint is evident. Our achievements with the EDGE platform are a step in the right direction, but there is more work to be done.

As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to continuing our work with the world’s leading hotels and hotel investment funds, driving forward the agenda for energy efficiency and sustainability in the hospitality sector.
