Property owner M&G Real Estate and Intu Properties partnered with EP&T Global to use EDGE data analytics to reduce energy costs at the Manchester Arndale Centre. Since September 2013, energy consumption has fallen by 33% amounting to a cumulative saving of £1.56 million.
EDGE Analytics identified targeted energy efficiency opportunities in real time allowing the site team to quickly and effectively solve issues at low or zero cost, generating substantial savings of both energy and money. Such a drastic increase in energy efficiency has seen the owners recognised by the property industry through winning both Sceptre and Green Apple Awards as well as M&G collecting a CIBSE Building Performance Award for their efforts.
