EP&T Global is delighted to announce a significant milestone in its journey towards sustainability and efficiency in the hospitality sector: we now have over 20,000 hotel rooms in our hospitality portfolio, with many of our clients benefiting from the visibility provided by our EDGE platform. This marks a monumental achievement in our mission to collaborate with the world's leading hotels to monitor and manage energy consumption. This initiative is not just about energy savings; it is a testament to our commitment to building and asset optimisation, ensuring the hospitality industry moves towards a more sustainable future.

Our collaboration with renowned hotels and hotel investment funds worldwide highlights our dedication to driving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions within the hospitality industry. The EDGE platform is at the forefront of this initiative, providing comprehensive insights into gas, water, and thermal utilities. This technology is essential for property owners and facilities managers to looking achieve sustainability outcomes, enabling them to manage and maintain energy efficient and optimized buildings as well as prepare detailed reports for board meetings or legislative carbon reporting.

"At Cedar Capital Partners, we are working hard to improve our hotels on the ESG front and are pleased to be partnering with EP&T’s Insight+ service team on several assets. Smart energy management has helped us drive energy and cost efficiencies across the portfolio. It's an interesting innovation for the industry, providing Cedar with guaranteed savings and a significant stride towards our sustainability goals."

The integration of over 20,000 hotel rooms with the EDGE platform is not just a number; it represents a significant impact on the industry's carbon footprint. According to the ITP - Hotel Global Decarbonisation Report, the global hotel industry needs to reduce its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions per room per year by 66% from 2010 levels by 2030, and 90% by 2050. Savings opportunities identified by the EDGE platform directly contribute to achieving these ambitious targets by enabling energy efficiency and measuring the adoption of renewable energy sources.

" As a fund manager, the clarity provided by EP&T's EDGE platform on utility consumption is invaluable. It not only enhances our decision-making but also showcases our commitment to transparency and sustainability in real estate investment."

– Gene Osborne, Asset Manager – Hotels, Salter Brothers

The journey towards sustainability in the hospitality industry requires collaboration at all levels. As noted by the UNFCC and the CBRE reports, the urgency for the hospitality and leisure establishments to lower their carbon footprint is evident. Our achievements with the EDGE platform are a step in the right direction, but there is more work to be done.

As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to continuing our work with the world’s leading hotels and hotel investment funds, driving forward the agenda for energy efficiency and sustainability in the hospitality sector.
