EP&T proudly announces our instrumental role in developing the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard (NZCBS) Pilot Version, specifically within the Sports & Leisure sector steering group. Our team has provided specialist input on operational energy usage in existing buildings, helping to set the standards to guide the future of carbon reduction in the real estate industry.
The UK NZCBS represents a significant step in the country’s journey toward a net zero future. This Standard is the first cross-industry framework that combines Net Zero Carbon requirements for all major building types. As a steering group member, EP&T has contributed expertise to ensure that the Standard is robust and practical, enabling the real estate sector to achieve meaningful reductions in carbon emissions.
With this pilot version launched, we encourage all industry stakeholders to download the standard and integrate its guidelines into their operations. The need for action is more pressing than ever, and EP&T remains committed to leading the charge by providing the tools and insights necessary to make net zero carbon buildings a reality.
